Mission Accomplished at Kambi Ya Juu – A Season of Salvation and Hope-April 2025
We glorify God for the success of the recently concluded mission at Kambi Ya Juu, led by Rev. Captain Samson Manman, and carried out in partnership with Kabare NDMA. The mission, which took place during the holiday season, was hosted by ACK Kambi Ya Juu Church, a congregation under Waso Parish in the Isiolo Archdeaconry.
This vibrant outreach reached deep into the Turkana community residing in Kambi Ya Juu—many of whom are pastoralists living in challenging conditions marked by insecurity, cattle rustling, and ethnic tensions, often followed by government crackdowns. Despite these difficulties, the community responded with open hearts, and the mission became a powerful testimony of faith, resilience, and unity.
With many young people home for school break, the mission was well-timed and impactful, offering a chance for both spiritual nourishment and renewal. Through door-to-door evangelism, open-air crusades, and church services, the Gospel was shared widely—and we rejoice that many accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
The mission not only served as a spiritual awakening for many but also strengthened the presence of the church in the region. It highlighted the potential for a growing Christian community in Kambi Ya Juu and reminded us of the vital role the church plays in restoring peace and hope where there is tension and uncertainty.
We continue to pray that through such church-led initiatives, lasting peace will be realized, and more souls will be brought to Christ. The harvest is indeed plentiful—and through continued partnerships and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we look forward to even greater things to come.
To God be the glory!
“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’” – Matthew 9:37-38
The words of Jesus echo loudly in places like Kambi Ya Juu, where the thirst for truth is great, yet the reach is still too small. The “harvest” — souls ready to receive Christ — is vast, even in forgotten corners and arid lands. But there are few laborers willing to go, to walk the dusty roads, to enter the hard places, and speak life.
This passage calls not only for awareness but for action — a prayerful cry to the Lord to stir more hearts, to raise more evangelists, teachers, and servants who will go where the need is greatest. In every home visited, every child ministered to, and every public crusade held, we see that the harvest is real.
And the call is now.
