Reviving Faith and Building Community at ACK Holy Trinity Hula Hula
The Kenya Anglican Men’s Association (KAMA) from St. Peter’s Cathedral has embarked on a transformative journey with ACK Holy Trinity Hula Hula, located just minutes from Marsabit town. Although Hula Hula is home to a vibrant community, the absence of men—both Morans and elders—within the church presents a unique challenge. Despite previous efforts, establishing a KAMA group here has been difficult.
A Vision for Lasting Change
KAMA’s mission extends beyond just addressing the absence of men in church; it aims to create a dynamic Christian community where every member, regardless of age or gender, plays an active role. Recognizing the importance of investing in the next generation, KAMA is focusing on youth engagement with the goal of achieving a 60-80% conversion rate among children and teenagers. By planting seeds of faith early, the hope is to nurture strong, family-oriented communities, with ripple effects felt throughout the region—especially among the Rendile and Samburu communities.
1 Corinthians 9:22, "I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.
Programs to Empower the Youth
To build a thriving church community, KAMA is introducing several youth-focused initiatives:
- Sunday Feeding Program: Offering meals to encourage regular church attendance.
- Skills Development Classes: Teaching music, art, craft, and beadwork to nurture talents.
- Games Kit: Providing sports equipment to foster teamwork and community spirit.
- Youth Mentorship: Connecting young people with mentors for spiritual and personal guidance.
- Cultural & Religious Education: Helping youth balance their cultural identity with Christian values.
- Holiday Camps & Retreats: Offering immersive experiences focused on Christian growth.
The Call to Join This Mission
As challenges like shifting religious dynamics continue to shape the region, KAMA invites partners, individuals, and organizations to join hands in fostering spiritual growth and building resilient Christian communities.
